Nellore: Bonigi Anandayya, who went into hiding (anonymity) 15 days ago, has returned to Krishnapatnam on Monday after the government gave permission for distribution of drug.
He requested people not to come to Krishnapatnam for drug for three days and said he will announce the date of distribution very soon. “I am very fortunate to serve the country and for this I thank State Government,” Anandayya said. Procuring herbs required for the medicine has been started by his followers. MLA Kakani Goverdharn Reddy said they worked hard to get permission who was accompanied by Nellore Collector Chakradhar babu along with Anandayya to krishnapatnam.

Will be distributed in different regions: Kakani
MLA Kakani Goverdhan reddy said that Government is working on the distribution of medicines in various regions. Apart from krishnapatnam, preparations are being made for distribution at districts and mandals and for that they are coming with mobile app or web portal. They are planning to make use of courier service. Blue Dot courier service came forward for the distribution of drug with 50% discount so that patients’ attendants nee not travel to Krishnapatnam.

Drug could be called traditional: Anil Kumar Singhal
Anil Kumar Singhal, Chief Secretary, Medical and Health Department, said the drug is not recognised as Ayurvedic and could be distributed as traditional one. Ayush Commissioner Ramulu said that medicine can be taken as health supplement but not as cure for COVID. They addressed media at APIIC building in Mangalagiri. They advised people with Corona infection to take anti depressant medications while using the medications prescribed by doctors. Positive patients should not stand in queue during distribution and it is better to get drug with the help of someone they knew.

What about Kotaiah and affected people?
Retired Head Master Kotaiah, who took Anandayya medicine, died on Monday. He was on ventilator for 4 days. It is well known that Kotaiah revealed to media that he recovered after taking drug from Anandayya. The video went viral on social media too at that time. Kotaiah did not recover from Corona even after taking Anandayya medicine. Family members rushed him to Nellore GGH hospital where he died while being treated. This was not explained by Anadayya why it happened?
There are reports that many people have fallen ill after taking the herbal medicine. Nearly 36 patients are being treated at Nellore Government Hospital for side effects after taking the drug. All these factors should be considered and answered before starting the distribution of drug.
