- MLC offer to Ramana by TRS chief
- Final decision has not been taken yet
Hyderabad: TTDP President L. Ramana will change party soon, but will it be the TRS or the BJP will be known in coming days as both parties are having consultations with him. Final decision has not been taken yet by Ramana. But the mediation by his old friend and minister Erraballi appears to be have been concluded fruitfully as per political sources and Ramana might take Gulabi entry in a few days.
Efforts are being made to bring in another BC leader to fill the BC leaders deficit created by the resignation of former minister Etela Rajendra. Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao is keen on taking Ramana into party and for this party offered one of the MLC posts which are to be filled through MLAs quota and Governor’s quota.
L. Ramana, who belongs to the Padmashali community, is well known as a BC leader and a gentleman. He served as a minister in Chandrababu’s cabinet in United Andhra Pradesh, has been the Telangana TDP president since the state’s bifurcation.
BJP MLA Raghunandan also had consultations with Ramana. It was revealed that no final decision has been taken yet on the change of party. Currently, this issue has become a hot topic in the political circles in Telangana.
Along with Ramana, several other TTDP leaders are also likely to join the TRS.
