Rajamahendravaram : Gowriswar, district health officer, has said the new UK coronavirus mutant strain has entered East Godavari district. One Mary who lives in Ramakrishna Nagar here has got the virus. Her son, the primary contact, proved negative. There are 114 persons who returned from the UK. Out of them, 111 were tested. One person living at Venkatnagar in Kakinada was also found to be infected. Three others were found to be primary contacts. The samples have been sent to Hyderabad for examination. The health official said three others who returned from the UK have to be tested. The primary contacts of four persons who tested positive are being screened. According to Gowriswar, there are at least one thousand persons who have to be tested in all.
