  • Kishan Reddy, Lakshman roped in

Hyderabad: Looks like Central BJP is taking GHMC polls as a serious issue. Party president J.P. Nadda announced Bhupendra Yadav as in-charge for GHMC polls. Yadav had worked as in-charge for Bihar assembly polls earlier. He is party’s national general secretary and Rajya Sabha member too.

Four ministers from different States will work with him as members of a special committee. Karnataka’s educational minister Dr. Sudhakar will be co-convener for the committee and Maharashtra’s former Minister Ashish Shelar, Pradeep Singh Vaghela from Gujarat, Satish Reddy, MLA from Karnataka will be members of the committee.
After a prolonged meeting held at Nampally’s BJP head quarters, the party announced Union Minister Kishan Reddy as chairman for management committee, and BJP’s National OBC Cell Chairman, Laxman as convener, Ex- MP Vivek Venkatswamy has been made a co convener and Garikapati Rammohan and Chintala Ramchandra Reddy as in-charges.

BJP feels that there are many Andhra voters in Greater Hyderabad and Garikapati may be useful in pulling their votes towards BJP. Handling of Corona, not using central scheme like Ayushman Bhava by Telangana Government, depositing amount into bank accounts just before GHMC for rain affected people are the issues party is ready to rise when they start campaigning for GHMC. As per sources, party will kick start their campaign from Monday.
