Sharmila to take up 72 hours ‘Rythu Vedana Deeksha’ on 12th

  • Gives halt to paadayatra following MLC election code
  • Prajaprasthanam walkathon continued for 3 weeks since October 20th
  • Covered six Assembly constituencies, will resume after December 16th

Hyderabad: YSRTP President Y.S. Sharmila gave halt to her paadayatra in Telangana following Election Commission guidelines of MLC elections under local bodies’ quota. No political rallies, public meetings and paadayatras are allowed in the districts where MLC elections for vacant will be held next month, stated EC. Sharmila said she will respect the rules and regulations of Election Commission and will resume walkathon soon after model code of conduct comes to an end.

Rythu Vedana Deeksha at Indira Park

Sharmila said that she completed 21 days of walkathon successfully which covered 6 assembly segments up to now. Here paadayatra in the name of Praja Prasthanam started on October 20th at Chevella and covered Maheswaram, Shamshabad, Ibrahimpatnam, Devarakonda and Munugodu.

“Response is tremendous, covered nearly 150 villages and heard issues related to pensions, loans, pending projects started during late YSR regime. People everywhere received me well and walked along with me in thousands. Will take up 72 hour Deeksha at Indira Park In The name Of Rythu Vedana against KCR’s government demanding to procure paddy from farmers in both kharif and rabi seasons as usual for MSP (Minimum Support Price). Seventy tow hour deekha would begin on Friday, Nov 12th at indiraPark.

Sharmila is supposed to walk 4000kms in 400 days covering 90 assembly constituencies and 14 Parliamentary constituencies; will she complete this and hold record with longest walkathon?
