Telangana to face more bypolls before 2023 schedule, say sources

  • Three sitting MLAs may resign
  • BJP confident of winning all three
  • Ruling party to show its strength if bypoll happens
  • Huzurabad result  impacting  BJP and TRS
  • CM comes out five days after party lost in Huzurabad by poll

Hyderabad: If the speculations of political sources are true, Telangana state will witness few more bypolls in coming days. If this were true, ruling party will face another big test to prove that all are not like Dubbaka and Huzurabad.

According to Congress sources, Munugodu MLA Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy wants to resign for the post and wishes to go for bypoll. For the past few months, Rajagopal Reddy is not satisfied with the performance of Congress party in the state and wants to quit the party and join the BJP. He is waiting for the right moment and the result of Huzurabad gave confidence to Rajagopal, who feels this is the right time to resign party and win in bypoll and take Saffron kanduva.

Another MLA’s name on cards is Chennamaneni Ramesh, who is representing Vemulavada constituency  in Rajanna Sircilla district for last three times. Nephew of Maharastra former Governor, senior BJP leader Ch. Vidyasagar Rao, he is facing court trial on German citizenship. If we observe the High Court statement on August 24th, 2021 which reads, “ It appears the MLA has to get ready to face the elections in the constituency” confirms that bypoll will take place shortly in coming days.

Jumping Japangs ready

Few speculations are circulating on social media and from party’s sources that the voice against K. Chandrasekhar Rao will be raised by sitting MLAs in coming days. MLAs who are happy with the result of Huzurabad in the ruling party have a plan to quit TRS and join either the BJP or the Congress. Even the MLC’s are also given to the leaders who joined TRS party few days ago, we are in the party for 15 years and CM promised us that we will be fielded as MLCs in MLA quota. If it is not done, we will take to our path, said few leaders.

Right now as per TRS sources, L. Ramana, Kaushik Reddy, will be fielded as MLCs. The status of leaders such as Pedda reddy, Mothkupalli  is not known. Surely the number of dissidents may increase in ruling party as per political sources.

Frustration or gameplan?

CM K. Chandrasekhar Rao came down heavily on Central Government on Sunday addressing the media. He said that Centre should bring down the prices of fuel to the level  of 2014 and reduce state’s tax on fuel. He also said that BJP has done nothing for farmers. TRS party will support farmer’s agitation against three farm laws. BJP is jealous because Telangana is number one state in rice production, KCR added. He also brought up Lakhimpur Kheri incident where farmers were allegedly run over by car of BJP leader’s son. He warned TBJP President and MP Bandi Sanjay for allegedly spreading lies about State Government about getting funds, seeds, and approvals from Delhi.

This is for the first time after many days that  CM K. Chandrasekhar Rao aimed potshots at BJP and Central Government. Eatala Rajender with stunning win in bypoll started attack on TRS party and on its leaders. He also has a plan to start state tour to counter TRS in coming days. K. Chandrasekhar Rao observed that there in surge in Saffron in many districts of Telangana, he wants to control the damage done to the party and this is the main reason for his attack on BJP and Central government, felt a senior BJP leader.

If bypolls are going to take place as said above, CM may opt for early polls , says pollsters.
