Ponguleti’s dilemma continues

  • Rajender, others meet Ponguleti in Khammam
  • Pongulet is in wait and watch mode
  • Defeating  KCR was the main topic of discussion
  • Ponguleti , Jupalli to decide after Karnataka elections

The meeting that has taken place between BJP leader and Huzurabad MLA Etela Rajender and former MP Ponguelti Srinivasa Reddy on Thursday in Khammam is very interesting one. Former minister Jupalli Krishna Rao, who was suspended by BRS along with Ponguleti, joined them later.

BJP MLA Raghunandan Rao, party leaders Konda Visweswara Reddy, Ennam Srinivasa Reddy, K Rajagopal Reddy and Enugu Ravinder Reddy took part in the meeting along with Rajender. It seems the meeting is not a happening of inviting Ponguleti into the BJP. After meeting, Ponguleti and Jupalli Krishna Rao surprised the scribes with their statements such as forming of a new political front against KCR. Etela said that he came to Khammam to invite Ponguleti into BJP.

Krishna Rao said, “The aim of everyone who attended the meeting is to defeat BRS. To achieve it, we will travel along with anti-KCR forces and who fought for Telangana”. He said that he is ready to join hands with any of those who are opposed to BRS. “For that, I will go to any extent”, he said and he added that BJP leaders invited him into the BJP and he informed them that he will take a decision after discussing with my cadre.

Muvva Vijay Babu, follower of Ponguleti, said that the decision will be taken after the results of Karnataka are out. Ponguleti’s camp expects the Congress to win in Karnataka. Jupalli Krishna Rao and Ponguleti had an understanding on joining jointly either BJP or Congress. (eom)
