Tollywood drugs case: ED to grill Navadeep, F Club manager

Hyderabad: It is well known that the drugs case in Tollywood created a sensation. A whole lot of notices have already been issued to several film celebrities in this case. Enforcement Directorate officials have already questioned Puri Jagannath, Charmi, Rakul, Nandu and Rana Daggubati in this regard. They have been pestered with questions on their bank transactions and involvement in money laundering.

Key persons to be quizzed on Monday: Actor Navdeep will be questioned on Monday as part of the case. The F-Club general manager was summoned by the  authorities to appear for trial on the same day. These two persons are said to be key persons in this case as per ED officials and they are expecting crucial, concluding information from these two. One has to see if any new facts come to light in this case.

Earlier, the entire case revolved around the main accused Calvin. The entire officers focused on bank transactions and money laundering related to them. Authorities have already collected details of their bank accounts from a number of celebrities. Calvin, who became an approver in the case, inquired about the diversion of money into the bank accounts of his friend, event manager Zeeshan Ali. And the whole trial in the Tollywood drugs case has escalated and took aggressive dimenstions.

To take political turn: Congress MP Revanth Reddy met CBI director on Thursday and submitted memorandum to investigate the case by CBI. As per him,  a few political leaders are involved in the case who mediated between Tollywood and SIT officials. He also made big claim on ruling party leaders stating that huge amount of money was transferred to ruling party leaders for removing the celebrities’ names from SIT and transaction happened at Goa. Earlier SIT collected blood, hair, nail and other samples during interrogation and sent them for analysis. Later the names of celebrities were removed from charge sheet and filed only 8 cases out of 12. This development had raised eyebrows in both Tollywood and political circles. This case came into limelight once again after PIL was filed by Forum For Good Governance headed by Padmanabha Reddy and MP Revanth reddy.
