Jana Sena to Contest Alone

  • No alliance with BJP
  • To contest 60 seats

Hyderabad:  Jana Sena party decided to contest alone in GHMC elections and first list was ready with 27 members. Party chief  Pawan Kalyan, who returned from Andhra after two days meetings with farmers and party cadre, took an immediate decision to contest alone after he had a short discussion with party’s Telangana state conveners.

There was a dilemma till the end with BJP not disclosing second list till Thursday afternoon and Jana Sena issuing a statement saying that alliance will be there with BJP in GHMC.  But after TBJP President once again clarified that his party will not ally with any other party, Pawan decided to go it alone. As per party sources, it will contest 50 to 60 seats fielding candidates who are clean by all means without any corruption charges or cases. There might be few female candidates too.

Jana Sena’s impact will be there on both BJP and TRS according to political analysts. Settler votes, one community votes definitely will go to  Jana Sena and the results for few divisions may be with less margin or result may change due to the party’s impact. Symbol of the party for GHMC elections is Glass.
