Hyderabad: GHMC elections will take place on 1st December. Telangana State Election Commissioner (SEC) C. Pardha Sarathi on Tuesday. Nominations will be accepted from Wednesday up to 20th for 3 days and scrutiny will be done on the 21st. For withdrawal of nominations the last date is Nov. 22nd afternoon 3 pm and on the same day final list of candidates will be cleared by SEC.
Polling will take place on Dec 1st from morning 7am to 6pm with ballots. Results will be announced on 4th and if any re-poll is necessary, SEC will conduct on 3rd. GHMC Mayor is reserved for Woman in general quota as per SEC. Fee as deposit for nomination for general candidate is Rs. 5,000, for BC, Sc and ST it is Rs. 2,500 and the expenditure for candidate is restricted to Rs. 5 lakh as per SEC.

For 150 wards, there will be 150 counting centres and elections will be held as per reservations of 2016, SEC said. In Greater Hyderabad there are 74,04,286 voters out of which 38,56,770 are male and 35,46,847 are female voters. Mylardevpally is the biggest division with 79,290 voters and RC Puram is the smallest with 27,958 voters.
