2 lakh tonnes coal per day from this month

  • 1.85 tonnes to be transported per day
  • C & MD Sridhar’s instructions to GMs of all areas

Mancherial : Since the demand for coal is growing gradually, C & MD  N. Sridhar instructed GMs of all areas that two  lakh tonnes of coal production has to be there every day and 1.85 lakh tonnes of coal should be dispatched and 13.5 lakh tonnes of overdue to be completed and the  targets have to be met without fail.

CMD issues instructions

Sridhar held a video conference on Friday (December 4) with GM of every area individually and reviewed the performance of November month and gave instructions on the targets for December. He instructed all the GMs that from December onwards transport of 35 rakes has to be done and last month 29 rakes (rail wagons) were transported.  He also clarified about the number of rakes to be transported in every area. He instructed that since the targets of coal production from open cast mines are to be met, new open cast mines at RKP open cast, Srirampur open cast, KTK open cast and RG-3 mines over burden removal contract awards have to be finalised immediately.He suggested that the new contract of 38 lakh cubic meters new contract of JVR open cast (Sathupalli) has to be done immediately and the water collected due to the recent heavy rains at Kothagudem’s  Gautam mine has to be removed and production targets have to be achieved as usual.

Coal production to start from Adriala Long Wall

He instructed that coal production has to start from new panel at Adriala Long wall and production from GDK-11 mine has to start again.  He said that forest and environment clearances and necessary permissions from ministry of coal etc. has to be possess immediately if it is requires being stationed at Delhi.  He suggested that plans and strategies need to be laid out from now itself for the new mines till they achieved production. He appreciated that production targets were achieved as expected in November from Kothagudem, Manuguru, Ramagundam-3 and Ramagundam-2 areas and suggested to move forward with the same enthusiasm.
