Women activists thrash molester

NIZAMABAD: Women activists have beaten up a man after spraying chilli powder into his eyes for molesting a minor girl in the name of treatment for mental ailment.

In a shocking and sensational incident an accused Prasad repeatedly raped a minor girl under the pretext of curing her mental ailment in the last three months.

The ghastly offence came to light when the girl hailing from Metpally town in Jagityal district was declared pregnant by doctors. As she was suffering from stomach ache she approached a medical doctor who after examining her declared “she is pregnant”.

Learning the incident the women’s organisations including All India Democratic Women’s Association (AIDWA) descended on the clinic run by the quack Prasad at Poosala galli under One Town police station limits and insisted on him to disclose the details.

As he tried to evade the reply the woman activists poured chilli powder in his eyes and beat him up severely. They also damaged furniture in the so called clinic.

The middle age quack was taken into custody by the police. The AIDWA district convenor Sabbani Latha told the reporters that the innocent girl was given narcotic drug every day and molested.

The victim’s mother said they approached the black magic practitioner as her ailment could not be cured by allopathic and other drugs. He used to keep the girl for four hours in his control every day in the name of meditation and other exercises, she said. “He didn’t allow us to be with the girl. Moreover, he threatened the girl against severe repercussions if she disclosed his crime,”.
