Yadagiri compares Raghu, journalist, Raghu Ramakrishnam Raju, MP

Hyderabad: Telugu journalist Raghu was arrested by Telangana police three days ago and he was produced before a magistrate who remanded him to custody. When Raghu Ramakrishnam Raju, MP, was arrested by AP CID officers, the media made it a banner item creating a lot of sensation. It was justified in doing it. But when Raghu was arrested, beaten up and lodged in jail, the media did not give any importance. A single column item was published on inside page by some newspapers. News channels did not give it the importance it deserved.

The owners of the media houses are naturally not concerned with Raghu. He is just a journalist. He is not a political leader or chief of a political party to be friend or to be enemy. The journalists working in the newspapers and news channels are also not bothered. The owner of the channel he is working for also is not in a position to question anyone for the arrest of his employee.

Raghu halis from Velivarty village near Valigonda in Bhuvanagiri district. He is poor and comes from a weaver’s family. Compared to Raghu, Raghu Ramakrishnam Raju is a leader from Kshatriya community hailing from West Godavri district and he is supposed to be close to Chandrababu Naidu. Another important factor is he is bothering chief minister of AP, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, a lot. So, Raghu Ramakrshnam Raju gets a lot of publicity from newspapers and news channels. Even judiciary also gets alerted. An advocate of Mukul Rohatgi’s eminence would argue on behalf of Raju. But there is nobody to own journalist Raghu.

Senior journalist Pasam Yadagiri, in a video, compared both Raghu and Raghu Ramakrishnam Raju and said Raghu did not get media coverage because he is poor weaver hailing from Telangana. He said media would be with rupiya, kufia (police intelligence) and mafia which are commanded by Raju. Raghu is treated as ‘laghu’ (means small) since he is from Telangana. Yadagiri appealed to the people to ignore unsocial mainstream media. He asked people to rely on social media and  websites and digital newspapers.
