Hyderabad: Nandamuri Taraka rama Rao, popularly known as NTR, is a name familiar to Telugu people by all means, be it films or politics. He will be there forever in hearts of Telugu people and Jan 18 is his 25th Vardhanthi (death anniversary). Here is a small glimpse on the eve of his vardhanthi. Words can’t express his greatness as a film actor who stood as ”Greatest Indian actor of all time” in a poll conducted in 2013, 17 years after his demise. This shows how he conquered hearts of Indian people. His films like Pataala Bhairavi, Malleswari, Mayabazar and Nartanasala are listed in “Hundred greatest Indian Films of All Time”. This is enough to say about NTR’s greatness as actor.
As a politician, he entered politics in 1982 and founded the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and worked three times as Chief Minister of United Andhra Pradesh between 1983 and 1995.His name in national politics will be remembered for ever for the creation of National Front, a coalition of non-congress parties which formed Government in 1989 -1990. Even in 1995, till he breathed his last, he was the chairman of the United Front.

AP Former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu along with Balakrishna will visit NTR Gardens to offer prayers. Late Harikrishna’s daughter Suhasini will accompany them. TTDP president L.Ramana gave a call to cadre to organise food donation in all districts of Telangana.
Born in Nimmakuru, small village near Gudivada in Krishna district of Andhra Pradesh, NTR died of cardiac arrest on 18 January 1995 at his Banjara Hills residence in Hyderabad at the age of 72. He will be remembered for ever as a symbol of Telugu pride.
