BHAKTI-LOVE AMBROSIA Part XX

That’s Dwaita state when we’re not one but two
well nigh like shying riv’r and divine deep
ready at estuary for rendezvous
atanytime, by just a simple leap.

By will, some bhaktas prefer that dual state
tocream in full love’s ecstasy butter.
The world as well needs them to inculcate
Bhakti in lay and grant spiritual succour.

Bhakti can be displayed in many ways
akin to one’s nature and notions bold.
Follow those pioneers who set ablaze
lay hearts with love and beatified the world.

Through service showed Bhakti great Hanuman
when I was Ram. He’s my envoy, sly spy,
my trusted man and loyal minion,
who did my bid but nev’r for gain did vie.

Some try to define my esoteric
spirit through tuneful songs, like Narada
the sage Divine, and some write long epics
of my Avatars like saint-poet Vyasa.

You know O damsels how our grandmas, aunts
and Mas adore me as a lovely kid;
though chide still keep loving my impish stunts…
that’s Bhakti too…so pure and pellucid.

The king Ambarisha, worshipped me as
Vishnu. He fasted on Ekadasi
and offered prayers to my idols.That was
Bhakti as well, that too well pleases me.

A sacred scion of a cruel father…
youngPrahlada, kept chanting my names umpteen
sitting in viscous demon’s den sans fear.
Aho his Bhakti made all horrors wean.

The alchemy of friendship brews sweet meads
of love in hearts. That’s Bhakti too. I share
that tang with friends as one of their own creeds
and become them and join their naive fare.
