Are Telugu States gearing up for simultaneous elections?

  • One Nation One Poll, is the point of debate now in Telugu states
  • Modi’s recent statement raises concern in political circles
  • KTR, Chandrababu direct cadre to get ready for poll

Hyderabad: After recent pitch by PM Modi on ‘One Nation One Poll,’ almost all parties in Telugu states look to be serious about it. Each and every single political party is taking it granted and has been preparing their MLAs and MPs mentally to face the elections which are expected in 2 years from now as per political circles.

It was first TDP Supreme Chandrababu Naidu, who alerted his party leaders about simultaneous elections as soon as the word came from PM Modi. He is constantly in touch with his party leaders and  is moving ahead with reviews on Parliamentary constituencies.

The same stand was taken by Telangana IT Minister, KTR, during his recent meeting with party MLAs at Pragati Bhavan. Party which failed in recent bypoll and GHMC election does not want to take any risk in future. Telangana Chief Minister  K.Chandrasekhar Rao came up with Rythu Bandhu scheme once again who said the amount will be credited into farmers’ accounts from last week of December.

He raised his pitch on centre and  supported the farmers protest and Bharat Bandh on Dec 8th. These are all done keeping in view of simultaneous  elections and started campaign against BJP, which he feels is now the main opposition in the State.

Jan Sena chief Pawan also responded on ‘Jamili’ elections, who in fact supported it and said elections will be held earlier than expected.

The ”One Nation One Poll” topic is circulating and creating speculations from day one after  Narendra Modi became PM. But political parties never took it seriously until the same was repeated by the prime minister himself recently addressing 80th All India Presiding Officers Conference. Though many parties are against it, few are gearing up internally to be on safe side.
