- Names Vaduka Rajgopal as the Chairman of the party
- Will launch party on July 8, late YSR’s jayanti
- Objections invited before June 16, says EC
Hyderabad: Y.S.Sharmila applied to get her new political party’s name in Telangana as ‘YSR Telangana party’ registered. Application was submitted to EC of India in which she named Vaduka Rajgopal as the chairman of the party. Rajgopal is a resident of Yousufguda in Hyderabad, who will serve as the president of the party once EC nods green signal. Election Commission of India has also invited objections, if any, to the registration of the party by June 16th.
As per the sources, Sharmila will launch her party on July 8, birth anniversary of her father, late YSR. She said the need of the party in Telangana is very much thee as the other opposition parties are not that competent in questioning the ruling party, TRS.
Addressing a public meeting at Khammam in the name of ‘Sankalpa Sabha,’ Sharmila had said that she is going to start a new party to get ‘Rajanna Rajyam’ in Telangana. She also said that for the sake of jobs that Rajasekhar Reddy had issued notice in 2004, 2006, 2008, but KCR did not do that at least once in seven years, so we need a party to question the Chief Minister.
Aims guns at BJP, TRS
Sharmila’s criticisms are equally targeted TRS and BJP. During Telangana statehood movement there were many people who ended their lives, but after formation of the new state, many more are forced to end their lives, Sharmila said. There is no chance for MLAs and MPs to meet CM, Congress party can’t fight against KCR as the ruling party gives benefits to the Congress MLAs. What about promises made by BJP? They had promised rail factory, but still it is not implemented, Sharmila added.
AP CM Jagan Mohan Reddy was against expanding party in Telangana and also shares cordial relationship with TRS chief K. Chandrasekhar Rao. His mother Vijayamma had joined Sharmila, now we have to see, how this party will affect politically the relationship between two Telugu states in coming days.
