Australia has beaten New Zealand by eight wickets in the final at the Dubai International Stadium on Sunday. It was Australia’s maiden win in T20 World Cup. Australia won with eight balls to spare in a tightly fought match Mitchell Marsh and David Warner made half centuries to enable their team to clinch the match.
Earlier Australia won the toss and asked New Zealand to bat. New Zealand had score 172 runs. Its captain Kane Williamson scored a brilliant 85 off 48 balls. New Zealand had hit up 172 runs in 20 overs. Australian bowler Josh Hazlewood took three wickets for 16 runs and the fourth wicket was claimed by Adam Zampa who conceded 26 runs.
While Australia had beaten Pakistan in Semi-final in Dubai, New Zealand won over England in the other semi-final which was played first at Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi.
