Bangalore: MP Revanth Reddy is trying his best by all means to get TPCC President post. Even though he said that he is not in the race and will abide the high command’s decision, he is using each and every opportunity for grabbing the position. Recent paadayatara from Achhempet to Raviryala against centre’s new farm laws is one of the trials. Revanth Reddy attended Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee President Shiva Kumar’s daughter wedding on Saturday at Bangalore. Both Shiv Kumar and Revanth are close friends for a few years and relations became stronger after Revanth joined Congress from TDP. Several senior congress leaders from Telangana also attended the wedding.

Priyanka Gandhi was also one of the guests at the wedding. When Priyanka was boarding her car after the function, she called Revanth Reddy and discussed on political issues in Telangana for 15 mins. This unexpected chitchat went on for 15 mins and it was one-on-one in the car. It surprised all the guests. As per key sources, Priyanka expressed happiness with the way Revanth has been going forward in Telangana and guided him to continue to do so in future also and a decision is expected to be taken soon after Nagarjuna Sagar by poll. Priyanka is understood to have told Revanth that he can go ahead with his plans without waiting for the formal decision.

Revanth left for Delhi from Bengaluru and met farmers’ leader Tikait and invited him to Telangana state to organise a fight in Telangana in favour of farmers and against the three controversial farm laws.. He also announced paadayatra in Telanagana in coming days. This exuberance on the part of the young leader is all due to the positive signal from high command regarding the TPCC president’s post as per political sources.
