- Successful in bringing back seniors who defected
- Revanth keen on making fight between TRS and Congress
- Trying to build his team before Huzurabad bypoll
Hyderabad: TPCC Chief Revanth Reddy, who always tries to be in media through throwing surprises, did it once again. For the first time, we are seeing exoduses from BJP into the Congress, with former MLA, BJP leader, Erra Sekhar of Mahaboobnagar saying that he will join the party soon. Revanth is focussing on each and every district and keeping momentum live from day one after he took charge as TPCC president. It is clear that Revanth’s intention is to bring back leaders who left the party and joined either the TRS or the BJP. Even the leaders who left the party are looking once again towards the Congress after Revanth took charge.
The oath taking ceremony of TPCC president, which boosted the morale of the Congress cadre, gave a little breather for them to look back. Even the cadre who were present at Gandhi Bhavan said that it was like a CM oath taking programme and gave full josh and that is all due to Revanth’s charisma. D. Sanjay, son of D.Srinivas of Nizamabad, also said that he is joining the Congress party and will work under new TPCC Chief guidance. From Adilabad district, Ramesh Rathod, who recently joined the BJP, is now ready to take U-turn and another senior TDP leader, Boda Janardhan will join the Congress soon. Revanth was successful in holding former Chevella MP K. Visweswara Reddy back in the Congress party.
It should be one on one fight, Revanth’s strategy
The strategy of TPCC chief looks to be one-on-one fight between TRS and Congress in upcoming assembly elections. Revanth strongly feels that the BJP’s influence will be reduced as the days progressed and he wants to utilise the anti incumbency sentiment growing against Modi and make it face to face between KCR and him. He also started implementing his strategy by appointing the leader in charge of Huzurabad bypoll and also district heads to look after the poll. He is also eyeing on dissidents from TRS in GHMC.

Kaushik Reddy, who is nephew of former TPCC chief Uttam Kumar Reddy, is keen on fighting on TRS ticket, but as per conditions now, it is difficult for him to get it. Congress is looking for BC candidate to counter Eatala Rajender and Revanth wants to campaign for at least a month for the bypoll. MP Komatireddy Venkat Reddy came out openly by saying it will be as good as a win for party if it secured minimum deposit in the contest. If it gets respectable number of votes, Revanth will be a winner in coming days too.
