- Maha CM praises KCR for rallying opposition forces
- He said there is a dire need to save the country from divisive politics
Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray praised Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) on the way he has been attacking Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his BJP dispensation at the Centre. Thackeray told KCR, “We have to save the country from divisive politics and the fight being put up by you has our support.”
Uddhav Thackeray invited KCR for lunch on Sunday, 20th February when all national issues could be discussed. KCR has taken the lead in mobilizing opposition parties and rally them against the NDA government. He had sent aircraft to Patna and got RJD leader and Lalu Prasad Yadav’s son Tejaswi Yadav to Hyderabad to meet him at Pragati Bhavan. When Tejaswi was with KCR, Lalu spoke to the Chief Minister and promised his support to his efforts. Earlier, KCR went on a prilgrimage to Tamil Nadu and met Chief Minister M. Stalin in Chennai before returning to Hyderabad. On Monday, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee called up KCR and told him that she would like to meet him and Stalin to discuss national affairs. Next day, there was a call from former Prime Minister Deve Gowda who said he is with KCR in his fight against communal politics. KCR has been emerging as a focal point in the opposition fight against the BJP.
A proactive KCR would leave Hyderabad by special aircraft on Sunday morning for Mumbai.
