Narayana is called Upendra, which means younger brother of Indra. In his capacity as elder brother Indra descended on Sri Villiputhur along with group of angels and friends to discuss the details of marriage ceremonies. Generally, the elderly personalities on either side of bride and groom will sit over and determine how the celebrations should go on.

Another important aspect of the ceremony is that groom’s sister will help bride to wear the special auspicious dress for the marriage. Groom is Narayana and His sister is Durga Devi. When Devaki gave birth to Krishna, her husband took him to Vrepally across the Yamuna river to reach the lap of Yashoda. After placing Krishna there, he lifts the girl child of Yashoda and comes back to Madhura Jail. As usual Kamsa wanted to kill the child and as he threw the child to fall on his sword, Yogamaaya warns and disappears in sky. Goda is referring to that who disappeared, using word Andari which means ‘that disappeared on that day’ Durgadevi came to Srivilliputhur and helped Goda in draping the marriage special silk saree, and adjusted some very scented flowers in the plait of Goda. These are the dream sequences Goda described to her friend in third Pashuram.
