Two-day meet on “Innovative vision in Packaging”
Hyderabad: The Indian Institute of Packaging (IIP) is organising a two-day conference on “Inno Vision in Packaging” here on March 23 and 24. Jayesh Ranjan, principal secretary, IT, Government of Telangana, will formally inaugurate the conference March 23.
Speaking to media persons here on Monday, IIP joint director Madhav Chakraborty said some 300 delegates, including from the USA, the UK, Germany, Switzerland and other countries are expected to attend.
The conference will discuss among others, patient-centric packaging in the pharmaceutical industry; innovation in glass container; safe drinking water through use of PET bottle, a revolution in packaging “wow’ moment; packaging water management etc., added Sanjiv Jaggi, chairman, sub-committee of IIP. There will be a group discussion on second day on “Role of packaging in make in India”, Chakravarthi AVPS, GB Member of IIP, added.
The objective of the national conference is to update the worldwide innovations in packaging and to discuss and disseminate among the others to upgrade packaging standards in packaging materials, technologies, techniques and packaging machines. (NSS)
