Why Sweat Over Court Cases? Nagam Asks KCR

Hyderabad: Former minister and BJP leader Nagam Janardhan Reddy today accused Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao of only concentrating on amassing wealth by corrupt practices and leaving the people’s welfare to the wind.

Speaking to mediapersons at the State BJP office here on Tuesday, Nagam alleged that the Chief Minister has little interest to complete the ongoing projects, but he is paying special attention to share his pound of flesh through illegal methods. Questioning as to why the Chief Minister was perspiring after Public Interest Litigation petitions were filed in the courts on pending projects, Nagam said they were not trying to obstruct the developmental works for fun.

Making it clear that they were constrained to knock the doors of justice against the State government giving work contracts to ineligible persons, Janardhan Reddy said the people’s struggle against corruption and irregularities was not new. Moreover, going to the court against injustice was a constitutional right of the people, he added. He also asked the Chief Minister as to why he allotted the works to contractors, who had miserably failed to complete the works of Palamuru-Rangareddy irrigation project.

Asserting that he would prove his allegations with irrefutable evidence, Nagam warned the Chief Minister that he would face the fate of former Bihar CM Lalu Prasad Yadav and AIADMK general secretary Sasikala  for his corrupt activities. (NSS)
