Venkaiah slams Oppn on Spl status to A P
- Pats Babu for crop loan waiver
Hyderabad, December 26: Union Minister M Venkaiah Naidu today flayed the opposition parties in the state for their remarks on according special status to Andhra Pradesh.
Speaking to press persons while inaugurating a State Level Training program for BJP Activists at Samalkot in East Godavari, Venkaiah said that the opposition parties are indulging in making useless propaganda against the BJP Government at the Centre. Offering special status to a state is not that easy as it involves all other states to concede, he said. His reaction came at a time when CPI Central committee member Dr K Narayana criticized Venkaiah for ignoring his promise of giving special status to newly formed AP State. The Congress made a statement before general elections and the BJP will conduct a public opinion in this regard, he maintained.
Referring to crop loan waiver in AP state which is facing many problems, he gave a pat to Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for taking such a great decision. It is good to see that Naidu kept his promise on crop loan waiver, he said. He also found fault with the opposition parties for trying to corner the government on land pooling for building new capital city in the state. Instead of giving suggestions, the opposition parties are criticizing the government on the new capital and land to be gathered, he regretted.
