Uttam predicts early polls for TS

Hyderabad: The Congress party in Telangana is of the opinion that Chief Minister KCR is most likely to go for early elections in the state (Telangana). The Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee chief N Uttamkumar Reddy opined that elections may take place in 2018 and said that his party is ready to face the ‘battle of ballots’ at any moment of time.

Addressing a press conference at Gandhi Bhavan in Hyderabad on Tuesday, Uttamkumar Reddy said that the state irrigation minister actually doesn’t know as to who will evaluate ht GDP and explained that the Centre will evaluate GDP by considering the figures provided by the state government.

However, the state is sending fictitious figures to the Centre, he alleged and made it clear that he quoted the figures taken from the CIG website.

The government is making efforts to cheat the people with these magic of figures, Uttam Kumar Reddy said and questioned Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to reveal whether it was not a fact that the farm produce has come down only after the latter came to power. He advised the state government to reveal the social economic survey figures were wrong.

Uttamkumar Reddy alleged that the state government was telling lies to ease of doing business and asked to reveal the fact or not that Telangana was in sixth place regarding investments. He asked the CM whether any power project started its production after TRS came to power. He alleged that the CM cheated people in the name of sops to the BCs only to come out from the assurances — three acre land for Dalits and 12 per cent quota to Muslims and STs, thinking that it was not possible to implement them.

The state government was enhancing the figures every year in the Budget only to create hype among people. The TPCC chief asked KCR as to where the promise of giving lands to journalists has gone, Uttam said that the CM forgot the vows given to Warangal and Adilabad journalists.

The government was least bothered about the health cards which were not working properly. He urged the government to tell as to why he was not fulfilling the assurances given to lawyers.

The CM made the state number one in liquor sales and in party defections. He made it clear that the opposition has the right to question the government on borrowing debts mortgaging the interests of  state.

He stated that IT Minister KT Ramarao was like a child and he has no status to criticise the AICC vice-president Rahul Gandhi. Rahul Gandhi’s family has the history of sacrifices, he said and alleged that KTR has the history of looting the state after returning from America. He alleged that KTR was getting the awards by giving money and that doesn’t mean KTR’s words were true.(NSS)
