Uplift Of Caste-Based Professionals Need Of The Hour: Talasani

Hyderabad: Stressing the need to strengthen rural economy, Animal Husbandry Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav has said the TRS government is striving to bring back the glory of caste-based professions for the growth of rural economy.

Participating in a discussion on demands in the Assembly on Monday, Talasani said the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was striving for the uplift of all sections of people in the State and preparing perfect plans for them.

“Everywhere in the State, the people were discussing about the fish and sheep rearing”, he said.  The government was creating awareness among the people on ‘Galikuntu Disease’.

The government would distribute 84 lakh sheep to the beneficiaries soon. The sheep were ready in the neighbouring states, he informed and alleged that the previous governments have neglected the societies leading to the downfall of the caste-based professions.

Talasani made it clear that the State government was giving loans without interference of Central government. There was a need to extend help the caste-based professionals to develop themselves economically.

The minister said the State government was striving to strengthen the rural economy by throwing light on the caste-based professions. Medical services would be extended to domestic animals through mobile hospitals as the government was already extending medical services in 6,281 health centres across the State.

Making it clear that effective services will be offered through mobile hospitals, Talasani said the State government allocated Rs 25 crore to Veterinary Colleges.

He also stated that the BCs were happy with the State government’s decision and informed that insurance facility will be provided to the sheep in case they were purchased from outside the State and wished that the Golla, Kurumas have to develop economically.
