Undavalli Wants Naidu To Be Arrested In Note For Vote Case

Former MP Undavalli Arun Kumar wanted the arrest of Naidu in the Note for Vote case. Referring to the arrest of AIADMK leader Dinakaran in bribe to Election Commission case, he wanted to know why Naidu is exempted.

Rajamahendravaram: Former MP from Rajamahendravaram, Undavalli Arun Kumar, welcomed the arrest of AIADMK leader Dinakaran in a bribe to the Election Commission case. He also wanted the EC to order for the arrest of Telugu Desam Party supremo N Chandrababu Naidu in the Note for Vote case. “If Dinakaran who is alleged to have tried to bribe the EC for the AIADMK symbol is arrested, what is preventing the EC from arresting Naidu who was caught with audio evidence seeking vote and offering money?” Undavalli asked.

Naidu and his party MLA Revanth Reddy are accused in the Note for Vote case in Telangana where the TDP is alleged to have tried to buy the vote of an MLA for the MLC elections. Revanth Reddy was caught on the video tapes with the cash bag offering to the MLA, while Naidu was caught on the audio tapes offering to fulfil and honour whatever was promised to the MLA for the vote. The Telangana government had booked a case against Revanth Reddy and Naidu.

A high drama followed this with Naidu denying his role and accusing TS government of tapping his phones. The AP government had constituted a Special Investigation Team that went into the call datas of all the mobile operators who were summoned to Vijayawada twice for investigation.

Now, with the EC ordering the arrest of Dinakaran and his subsequent arrest, Undavalli drew parallel and demanded that the EC also order the arrest of Naidu where evidences are clear. He wondered why courts and EC are silent on this case against Naidu.
