Uber offers its riders air tickets for holiday
Hyderabad: Uber, the smart phone app that has transformed urban mobility for millions, has partnered with global travel search engine, Skyscanner to give its riders an opportunity to fly to select holiday destinations across the world for free.
Speaking about the partnership, Saad Ahmed, Business Development Lead, Uber India, said on Thursday: “We’re excited about this partnership especially during this time, when the holiday season has just begun. What’s even more special about this partnership is that riders get to select their travel dates at a time convenient to them, so they can plan well in advance.”
Reshmi Roy, Growth Manager, India from Skyscanner, said: “We are delighted to be partnering with Uber India and can’t wait to send riders on a trip of a different kind. Lucky winners can choose from five destinations that are sure to make 2017 a year to remember.” In partnership with Skyscanner, riders in Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Kolkata and Hyderabad have the opportunity to fly for free to either Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Sri Lanka or Jordan. Skyscanner will be providing tickets to and from any of these destinations to Uber riders.
To qualify, Uber riders must register with Skyscanner and take three UberX trips between December 12 and 16 to stand a chance of winning two free flight tickets for their dream vacation. Besides, the riders will be given the option to travel any time within 2017 and choose the number of days they would want to stay for, whether that be a short weekend break or a month-long exploratory trip. -NSS
