Two in masjid bomb blast case get bail
Hyderabad: The accused in the Mecca Masjid bomb blast case were granted bail on Thursday. Accused Nabakumar Sarcar alias Swami Asimananda and Bharat Bhai got bail. The police had arrested Asimananda, who was at large for a long time, in 2010.
It may be recalled that Asimananda has been granted bails in Ajmer, Samjhauta Express bomb blast cases already. Asimananda was from Hugli in West Bengal and had completed post graduation in Botany. Opposing Communist idealism, Asimananda shifted his base to Gujarat and worked with Ramakrishna Mission for some time before leaving Bengal.
Sarcar set up an ashram in Dhangs district of Gujarat and changed his name as Swami Asimananda. He used to conduct meetings after touring as a staunch Hindutwa supporter. (NSS)
