TTD Board gives nod for Rs 86 cr worth works

Tirumala: The Trust board of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams has approved Rs 86 crore worth developmental works during its board meeting, of which Rs 53 crore was towards housekeeping and management services in Tirumala.

The TTD Trust Board, under the chairmanship of Dr Ch Krishnamurthy, on Monday took some important resolutions during the board meeting held at Annamaiah Bhavan in Tirumala. The board has approved many developmental works.

The TTD Board approved Rs 39 crore for construction of Vakulamata Rest House with a spacious parking facility and 270 rooms; construction of two storeyed Kalyana Mandapam in Appalayagunta at a cost of Rs 3.10 crore; earmarked Rs 1.42 crore for reconstruction of Sri Sambandhu Sekhara Swamy Devasthanam in Duggirala of West Godavari; construction of Kalyana Mandapam in Rayachoti of YSR Kadapa district at a cost of Rs 1.25 crore.

The TTD Board also allocated Rs 1.18 crore for development of Sri Tirupati Devarayalu Devasthanam in Nasannakota in Anantapur district. It also sanctioned Rs 37 lakh for effecting repairs of choultry in Annapureddipalle of Khammam, renovation of Srivasapura Venkateswara Swamy in Velagalapalli of Kurnool district at Rs 27.90 lakh, renovation of Sri Lakshmi Venkateswara Swamy temple in Armoor of Nizamabad district at an estimated cost of Rs 31.25 lakh,  sanction of Rs 21.15 lakh towards the reconstruction of Sri Lakshmi Narayana Swamy in Kondepi mandal of Prakasam district,  Rs 30 lakh for construction of Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple in Vaddadi and Rs 12 lakh for Sri Poturaju Babu temple construction in Vaddadi village of Vizag,  Rs 25 lakh for Prakaram Mandapam construction of Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple in Chillakuru mandal of Nellore district.

MARKETING WORKS:

Procurement of various ingredients including:  For every two months, required quantity of various ingredients will be henceforth procured through e-tender and e-auction,  procurement of 15.30 lakh kg of sona masuri rice at Rs 41 per kilo, an amount of Rs 6.27 cr has been sanctioned,  Rs 1.25cr approved for the purchase of eleven lakhs coconuts with 30 cm diameter with each coconut at a cost of Rs 11.34, an amount of Rs 2.62 cr sanctioned for purchase of four lakh kg of Bengal gram at Rs 65.51 per kg, for two months period, Rs 80 lakh worth 1.20 lakh kg of Red gram at Rs.66.88 per kg is sanctioned. TTD made a revenue of Rs 4.78 cr in January and Rs 8.13cr in February during the e-auction of human hair in 2017,  For purchase of 1,790 tonnes of fodder to cattle in SV Gosala, Rs 2.85 cr sanctioned.  Towards the purchase of 8,600 tonnes of maize grass For SV Goshala, Rs.2.84cr sanctioned.

OTHERS:

A Bengaluru based firm, Bright Waste Technology, has come forward for Solid Waste Management in Tirumala for a period of five years. Over 332 Potu workers in Tirumala, 65 labours working in Ugranam, gets extension for one more year on contact basis,  172 outsourcing contract labour working in forest department under Sri Venkateswara Forest Workers Welfare Society get extension for one more year, Agama advisor Sri NAK Sunderavaradan also gets extension for one more year on contract basis.
