TS, AP ministers Meet Governor Over Pending Issues
Hyderabad: Governor of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh E.S.L. Narasimhan on Sunday held a meeting with the ministers and officials from both the Telugu States to sort out pending issues arising from Reorganization of Andhra Pradesh Act 2014.
The meeting held in Raj Bhavan was attended by Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao, Energy Minister Jagadish Reddy, advisor to government G Vivek from Telangana government and Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu, Labour Minister Atchannaidu and TD Chief Whip Kalva Srinivasulu and senior officials attended from the AP government.
The meeting discussed the issues related to division of employees and handing over of the buildings of Andhra Pradesh secretariat in Hyderabad to Telangana. However, no decision was taken during the meeting, it is learnt.
Speaking to media persons after the meeting, G. Vivek said they have decided to hold another round of discussions on April 17. AP Labour Minister K. Atchannaidu said they discussed about division of teachers, police personnel and employees of the electricity department and so on.
He said a decision on handing over the buildings of AP Secretariat and legislature to Telangana will be taken in consultation with Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu.
He said two senior officials of electricity department had submitted reports on sharing of electricity and a decision was expected in the next meeting.
This was the third in a series of meetings the Governor was holding with the ministers and officials of the two states since last month, to sort out all post-bifurcation issues. The two sides had decided to sort out all issues with mutual agreement instead of fighting in courts.
