TPCC plans 10-day ‘anti-people’ protests against policies of State and Centre
Hyderabad: The TPCC has decided to stage protests for 10 days against the State and Central governments’ “anti-people” policies and prepared an action plan for it. The party would conduct ‘Jana Avedana Sammelans’ in the constituencies from February 19 to 28. An extended PCC meeting will be held on February 13.
Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan here on Friday along with former home minister Sabitha Indra Reddy, official spokesperson Dr Sravan and others, Implementation Committee Chairman Ponnala Laxmaiah said that AICC general secretary in-charge of the State party affairs Digvijay Singh would participate in the public meeting to be held at Tandur on February 19. He alleged that the Narendra Modi government has totally failed to control the prices of essential goods. Modi was extending his support to the bigwigs at the cost of welfare of the poor, he said and claimed that atrocious rule was going on in Telangana.
Targeting Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, Ponnala alleged that KCR, who was not implementing his assurances mentioned in the manifesto, was the first Chief Minister in the history. “KCR is an anti-Dalit and Dalit betrayer”, he said. -NSS
