TNSF threatens to foil KCR’s ‘gruhapravesam’
Hyderabad: Telugu Nadu Students’ Federation (TNSF) has warned Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao that it would lay a siege to the new Camp Office of the latter if the state government failed to release arrears of students fee-reimbursement within two days.
Speaking to the media after his arrest, TNSF president Madhusudhan Reddy said they would try to obstruct “gruhapravesam” of new CMO which is scheduled to be held on November 24 if the government failed to release funds for fee re-imbursement. He demanded that the TRS government pay arrears of Rs 2090 crores to 14 lakh students who have been waiting for two years. Due to non-payment of fee reimbursement dues, poor students are badly affected.
Earlier, demanding early payment of fee-imbursement, TNSF members staged a dharna in front of the Secretariat holding placards and raised slogans. However, police tried to prevent demonstrators from shouting slogans. As tempers ran high, the police took them into preventive custody and shifted them to Gandhi police station.
