TNSF dharna over welfare hostels’ problems

Hyderabad: Telugu Nadu Students Federation (TNSF) held dharna in front of the Social Welfare Department building on Thursday demanding social welfare hostels’ problems solved immediately.

Addressing the dharna, TNSF president Chiluka Madhusudhan Reddy alleged that the TRS Government has totally failed to resolve the  problems of students staying in social welfare hostels in the State. A large number of students of welfare hostels also participated in the dharna.

Reddy alleged that there is no security to the students of social welfare hostels and government  has also failed to improve facilities in the hostels. Though prices of essential commodities have been increasing, the  government has not increased mess charges of the students of  welfare hostels.

TNSF president warned of a state-wide agitation  if the government failed to meet the  demands for improving facilities in social welfare hostels in the State.

Earlier, the agitating TNSF members went to submit a memorandum to the Social Welfare Commissioner G D Aruna. But on not finding the commissioner, they protested in a novel way by placing  the memorandum in the chair. –NSS
