TN: Trust Vote challenged in HC by DMK
CHENNAI: DMK moved to High court on the Trust Vote held in Assembly on Saturday, stating it is null and void. Former DMK Rajya Sabha Member Shanmugasundaram filed the petition on Monday First hour which is expected for hearing on Tuesday.
DMK is expecting a fresh order from Court under secret ballot system with OPS in a same plan getting ready to file petition in court later today. Stalin announced a state wide hunger strike protest from Feb 22nd after Speaker evicted 88 MLAs which is unprecedented according to DMK sources.
DMK claims that Trust Vote is illegal as it was introduced twice; Main intention of DMK seems to bring President Rule in State for few months and go for fresh elections, which was spoiled by Palaniswamy on Saturday in floor test.
