TJAC plans Chalo Hyderabad rally on Feb 22 to press for jobs
Hyderabad: Telangana Joint Action Committee Chairman Prof Kodandaram has called upon unemployed and supporters of unemployed youth to join Chalo Hyderabad rally against the Telangana Government.
Addressing the media here on Monday, Kodandaram said, TJAC established ‘Telangana Joint Action Committee-Hyderabad District’. “We are preparing to make Chalo Hyderabad rally successful, said committee members Venkat Reddy, Madhu Satyam Goud, Ramesh and others. Kodandaram and committee members released a poster demanding that the government release new employment notifications. The rally will start from Sundaraiah Vignana Kendram and end at Indira Park on February 22.
Kodandaram said, “We are not pressing for any new demands but implement what theTelangana State government had promised in 2014. They said 1.07 lakh posts were vacant in various departments and we are demanding them only. But till now, the government recruited candidates for only 5000 posts and filling of 15000 posts was in the process. “We are demanding that the State Government release employment notification for unemployed youth below Intermediate and create self-employment programmes. Provide reservations in private sector, encourage small scale industries which can create employment for Intermediate, ITI, Polytechnic students.”
At this meeting, Horticulture University students met Kodandaram and pledged their support to the rally. -NSS
