TDP doesn’t exist in Telangana, says KTR
Hyderabad: Telangana IT Minister K T Rama Rao said on Monday that the Telugu Desam Party does not exist in Telangana State as Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has already shifted his base to Vijayawada. Chandrababu has cancelled his right of vote in Hyderabad and switched over to Andhra Pradesh State, he said.
Participating in development programmes at Palvancha in Khammam district, KTR said Chandrababu has no voting right in Hyderabad as he is ought to provide governance from Vijayawada or Velagapudi (Amaravati region), the capital city of Andhra Pradesh. He also rubbished the Telangana TDP leaders’ claims about the existence of the party.
KTR retorted by asking where is the party in Telangana when its chief made it to AP capital. The minister took serious exception to what he called ‘dramas’ by Telangana TDP leaders in the name of Palle Nidra in villages.
“The people are not in a position to believe in their dramas and the government was trying to cleanse the stink left behind by the previous governments. The people gave us five-year mandate and we are fixing the problems and addressing them in a phased manner”, KTR declared.
