TD leaders to complain against Governor, speaker
- Plan to meet president today
HYDERABAD: Telangana Telugu Desam leader Revanth Reddy today stated that they will complain to President Pranab Mukherjee and Chief Election Commissioner H S Brahma at Delhi on March 17 against the TRS Government for encouraging defections.
Addressing the media here on Monday, Revanth Reddy charged Chief Minister K Chandasekhar Rao with luring the leaders of other parties in gross violation of democratic norms. He alleged that Speaker S. Madhusudana Chary failed to respond on their requests to take action against Talasani Srinivas Yadav and others for switching loyalties. The TRS Government did not heed to notices and instructions by the court in this regard, he said.
The TD has decided to complain to the President against Governor ESL Narasimhan, Speaker of the Assembly and Chairman of the Council for failing to take action against the defectors. The TD leaders will meet the President in Delhi on March 17 and apprise him of the defections, Revanth said. The TD leader ridiculed that KCR will come down to earth from air if MLC contestants of the TRS were defeated in the elections.
He condemned the comments made by K Taraka Ramarao against AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu. “KTR has no stature to make such harsh comments on Naidu”, he felt. He also alleged that the TRS Government was hatching a conspiracy against giving salaries for nine months with 43 per cent fitment. It is likely that the government may opt for offering bonds for five years to clear the pending bills of Rs 1100 crore. (NSS)
