T-JAC Roadmap Discussed-Kodand
Hyderabad: Demanding the state government to withdraw the Private Universities Bill, initiate action to regularize the contract lecturers, waive off the farmers loans at one go and announce the agriculture policy, Telangana Political JAC Chairman Prof. M Kodandaram has warned the TRS government that it will wage agitations on public issues against it.
Speaking to the media after the JAC meeting on future action plan here on Sunday, Kodandaram said that the steering committee of the JAC has discussed seriously on the future action plan. He said that the JAC will stage a dharna in Hyderabad opposing the Land Acquisition Act-2013. He revealed that the JAC will take up rallies, dharnas, and study tours demanding the state government to save education institutions and to provide employment opportunities to the youth. In March next, the JAC will take up field level examination of Mission Kakathiya and Mission Bhagiratha schemes. In April there would be micro-level study on caste based professions, he said.
He demanded the state government to release PRC arrears to employees and not to take away the lands of the tribals, follow the ethics in politics, strictly implement anti-defection law, implement citizen charter in all government offices and protect the status of the Speaker’s post. He suggested the government to appoint an experts committee on Zonal System and opined that it was not correct on the part of the government to abolish the Zonal system. He asked the government to bring the political leaders under Lokayuktha, and made it clear that the JAC will continue even after one among the JAC members becomes a Chief Minister of the state.
Stating that the government has to rule the state following the interests of the people, but not the rulers interests, Kodandaram opined that the patients will go from one doctor to another if the illness was not cured at one doctor, and the same is the case with politics too. -NSS
