T BJP leaders seek central help

  • Implementation of welfare programmes

New Delhi:  Telangana BJP legislators, led by state party president Dr K Laxman, have met various Union ministers and sought their help in implementation of welfare programmes for the development of the state.

During their meeting with Union ministers, including M Venkaiah Naidu, on Tuesday, the BJP state leaders urged the Centre to include Inter students in mid-day meals programme, formation of Girijan University, setting up of fluoride research centre in the affected Nalgonda district and a turmeric research centre in Nizamabad district.

The State BJP MLAs also raised  other issues that include railways, waiving of farmers’ loans, electrification of rail line in the state.  Besides Venkaiah Naidu, the team  met Union ministers Prakash Jawadekar, Sripad Naik, Jagan Prakash Nadda, Radhamohan Singh, Suresh Prabhu and Nirmala Sitharaman.
