Success Of Rayalaseema Bandh Shocks TDP
Tirupati: Telugu Desam Party supremo and Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Chandrababu Naidu’s troubles are mounting day by day. While the internal squabbles are damaging the image of the party, opposition parties are adding fuel to the fire.
While recently Rayalaseema is in the news with the murder of YSRCP leader Narayana Reddy, life in the region came to a grinding halt on Wednesday due to the bandh organised by Left parties for resolution of problems owing to drought. It was a complete success in Anantapur district.
As the Congress supported the bandh and Anantpur being the native district of PCC chief, the party took all measures to make it a success.
The party cadre which participated in the bandh pelted stones at various banks. Police dispersed the activists. The examinations to be held in JNTU- Anantapur were deferred due to Bandh. The protestors damaged buses in Guntakal.
As the leftist cadre stopped the buses from plying in Tirupati bus stand, the devotees faced a lot of problems.
Though the left parties and Congress took up many programmes protesting against Naidu’s rule, no programme succeeded this way.
Meanwhile, the political analysts are saying that anti-incumbency is clearly evident during Rayalaseema bandh. The ruling party was stupefied by the success of opposition bandh.
