SS MP Gaikwad Plays Victim Card In Parliament
New Delhi: Ravindra Gaikwad has tendered a conditional apology to Parliament but refused to say sorry to the Air India officials. Instead, he and other Shiv Sena MPs have mocked and mobbed Civil Aviation Minister Ashok Ganapatiraju Raju who was rescued by other ministers. The minister was gheraoed for ten minutes.
The SS MPs demanded to know how a ban can be enforced on an honorable MP. Gaikwad playing the victim card after repeatedly telling the media that he had hit the AI official 25 times with Chappal is self contradictory. He alleged that the AI official had assaulted on him
Ashok Gajapati Raju has stood his ground and told SS MPs that Gaikwad is first a citizen then a traveler and only after that an MP who has no special privileges outside the Parliament. He is like any other passenger, the minister maintained. Raju made it clear that he is going by rules and regulations. Then, the SS MPs went into the Well forcing Speaker Sumitra Mahajan to adjourn the House.
