Srihari’s Plea to Dattatreya on Central Clearances
Hyderabad: Union Minister of State for Labour Bandaru Dattatreya has assured the Telangana Government that he would take up with the Union Minister for Power Piyush Goyal the question of allocating a higher quantum of power to Telangana.
He gave this assurance when Deputy Chief Minister of Telangana Kadiam Srihari drew his attention at a meeting here on Wednesday to the letter written by Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhara Rao to Prime Minister Narendra Modi seeking allocation of power and coal to the State.
The Deputy CM requested him to initiate steps to expedite clearances of funds allocated in the Union budget for Sarva Siksha Abhiyan and other schemes from Ministry of HRD. He said he would visit New Delhi soon.
Mr. Dattatraya requested Mr. Srihari to instruct officials to extend all assistance for development of the three villages adopted by him in tune with the instructions of Prime Minister under the Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana. They are — Sannur Village in Rayaparthy Mandal, Annaram Sheriff Village in Parvathagiri Mandal of Warangal District and Kolanupaka in Nalgonda District.
He pointed out that Sannur has a famous Temple, Annaram Sheriff has a famous Darga and Kolanupaka a well-known Jain Temple. He stated that pilgrim tourism to these three villages would give a boost to their development. (NSS)
