Skill Development University for Youth: Nayani
Hyderabad: Home Minister Nayani Narsimha Reddy today urged the center to set up a Skill Development University in Telangana State to provide job opportunities to the youth.
Narsimha Reddy attended “Kushal Bharath-Swashakth Bharath” program called by Union Minister for Skill Development Rajiv Prathap Rudy in Delhi. Those attended the event discussed on the need for skill development and bridging the gap between the industries and educational institutions.
Speaking to media later, Narsimha Reddy said a skill development university would help provide employment to thousands of youths. Chief Minister Chandrasekhar Rao offered land for locating a skill development varsity, he said. Besides rolling out the students with complete skills, the university would make efforts to cater to the needs of the industries and companies. He also maintained that the entire world was looking towards Telangana State for its rapid growth through welfare schemes and development programs by Rao.
America, Japan, Korea and other nations are lining up to set up their businesses and companies in Telangana State, he claimed. He also stated that the soon-to-be-launched new industrial policy will offer all permissions in just two weeks, he said. Rao has already begun steps to modernize police system in the state even before the center, Narsimha Reddy added. (NSS)
