SIT Into Land Scam Gets Down To Work

The SIT (Special Investigation Team) appointed to enquire into the allegations of land scam has started the work. But its terms of reference were diluted.

Visakhapatnam: The Special Investigation Team constituted for looking into the issue of land records tampering in Visakhapatnam district has formally begun its work. The team met in the office set up in the Collectorate on Tuesday.

Special officer of the SIT Vinit Brijlal, convener G.Srijana (Joint Collector, Visakhapatnam) and other members met the District Collector Pravin Kumar and deliberated on the scope of the investigation.

The SIT will only look into the cases in which land records were tampered with. However, the team will receive complaints concerning tampering of records that might have occurred across the district. A�More:A�Jagan Demands CBI Enquiry Into Vizag Land Scam

A special cell has been set up in the Collectorate for receiving complaints. Every complainant will be given an acknowledgment by the Joint Collector.
