Medak, January 29: Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) today laid foundation stone for Shantha Biotech Insulin Industry at Muppidapally near Toopran in Medak district. The project is coming up with French technology at a cost of Rs 460 crore, he said and extended thanks to Shantha Biotech family.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister praised the company owner Varaprasad Reddy for offering to slash down price of Diabetes Insulin to Rs 150 from the actual price of Rs 850. Reddy, who is noted for routing out cholera, has so far received over 170 awards in the medical industry, he noted. KCR also said that Varaprasad Reddy is also noted for running the industries in a selfless manner besides providing a sizeable number of job opportunities.
An elated Chief Minister said he would transform the State into not just a Golden Telangana but a “Diamond Telangana” if he gets persons like Varaprasad Reddy, who has commitment and resolve to serve the society. He also said Reddy was one among a few ideal persons in the world. “Our Government is committed to offer a hassle-free regime by providing all permissions to industries, businesses and startups besides entrepreneurs in the State in just two weeks”, KCR announced.
“We will soon come up with the world’s best industrial policy of giving permissions that discourages investors to make rounds to offices. The Government’s policy will be up to the expectations of new businesses and industries”, he hoped.
Industries Minister Jupally Krishna Rao, Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao, Deputy Speaker Padma Devender Reddy were present. (NSS)
