Secunderabad-Vizag and Tirupati-Vizag specials
Hyderabad: In order to clear extra rush of passengers, South Central Railway will run 16 special trains between Secunderabad and Visakhapatnam & Tirupati and Visakhapatnam .
Vizag-Sec’bad-Vizag weekly special: Train No 08501 Visakhapatnam-Secunderabad weekly special will depart Visakhapatnam at 23:00 hrs on February 7, 14, 21 and 28 (Tuesdays) and arrive Secunderabad at 12:00 hrs on the next day. In the return direction, Train No.08502 Secunderabad – Visakhapatnam weekly special will depart Secunderabad at 16:30 hrs on February 8, 15, 22 & March 1 (Wednesdays) and arrive Visakhapatnam at 04:50 hrs on the next day. En route, these special trains will stop at Duvvada, Anakapalli, Tuni, Samalkot, Rajahmundry, Tadepalligudem, Elluru, Vijayawada, Khammam, Warangal and Kazipet in both directions.
Vizag-Tirupati-Vizag weekly special: Train No 08573 Visakhapatnam-Tirupati weekly special will depart Visakhapatnam at 22:55 hrs on February 6, 13, 20 and 27 (Mondays) and arrive Tirupati at 13:25 hrs on the next day. In the return direction, Train No.08574 Tirupati – Visakhapatnam weekly special will depart Tirupati at 15:30 hrs on February 7, 14, 21and 28 (Tuesdays) and arrive Visakhapatnam at 06:50 hrs on the next day. En route, these specials will stop at Duvvada, Ankapalli, Samalkot, Rajahmundry, Eluru, Vijayawada, New Guntur, Tenali, Ongole, Nellore, Gudur, Sri Kalahasti and Renigunta in both directions.
Kazipet railway court imposes fine on agitators
The local Railway court here has closed the case against MLA Muttireddy Yadagiri Reddy and others after imposing a fine of Rs 1,000 on each in the case. Muttireddy, former MLA Raji Reddy, BJP leaders KLN Reddy, TRS leaders Bakkana Nagaraju, Mekala Satyam appeared before Kazipet railway court on Tuesday in connection with a rail roko case registered against them in 2011.
After hearing the case, the judge imposed a penalty of Rs 1,000 on each accused. The accused had participated in rail roko agitation in Jangoan during Telangana movement. -NSS
