Sankranti specials from Secunderabad and Kacheguda

Hyderabad: To clear extra rush of passengers during Sankranti, South Central Railway will run eight special trains between Secunderabad and Kakinada Port and Kacheguda and Kakinada Port.

Sec’bad-Kakinada Port-Sec’bad Specials (via Guntur):  Train No. 07434 Secunderabad – Kakinada Port special train will depart Secunderabad at 19:15 hrs on January 12 and arrive Kakinada Port at 05:45 hrs on the next day. In the return direction, Train No. 07435 Kakinada Port-Secunderabad special train will depart Kakinada Port at 17:30 hrs on January 13 and arrive Secunderabad at 04:30 hrs on the next day.

Enroute, these special trains will stop at Nalgonda, Miryalaguda, Piduguralla, Sattenapalli, Guntur, Vijayawada, Eluru, Tadepalligudem, Rajahmundry, Samalkot and Kakinada Town stations in both the directions. These special trains consist of 12 coaches — three AC II Tier, seven AC III Tier and two power car coaches.

Train No. 07075 Secunderabad– Kakinada Port special train will depart Secunderabad at 23:30 hrs on January 15 and arrive Kakinada Port at 10:45 hrs on the next day. In the return direction, Train No. 07076 Kakinada Port-Secunderabad special train will depart Kakinada Port at 18:30 hrs on January 16 and arrive Secunderabad at 07:40 hrs on the next day.

En route, these special trains will stop at Nalgonda, Miryalaguda, Piduguralla, Sattenapalli, Guntur, Vijayawada, Eluru, Rajahmundry, Samalkot and Kakinada Town stations in both the directions. These special trains consist of 19 coaches — two AC III Tier, o­ne general Second Chair Car, ten sleeper, four general second class, two luggage-cum-break van.

Kacheguda-Kakinada Port-Kacheguda Specials (via Guntur): Train No. 07337 Kacheguda –Kakinada Port special will depart Kacheguda at 19:00 hrs on January 10 and 13 and arrive Kakinada Port at 05:45 hrs on the next day. In the return direction, Train No. 07338 Kakinada Port – Kacheguda special will depart Kakinada Port at 17:30 hrs on  January 11 and 14 and arrive Kacheguda at 04:45 hrs on the next day.

En route, these special trains will stop at Sitaphalmandi, Malkajgiri, Nalgonda, Miryalaguda, Piduguralla, Sattenapalli, Guntur, Vijayawada, Eluru, Tadepalligudem, Rajahmundry, Samalkot and KakinadaTown stations in both the directions.

Temporary increase in platform ticket price: In view of the ensuing Sankranti festival coinciding with the Sabarimalai traffic, it is expected that Secunderabad Railway Station will witness huge additional foot fall of rail travelers as well as accompanying non-travelers, leading to huge crowd o­n the platforms during the period.  To regulate the flow of people who enter the platforms and avoid inconvenience to the travelling public, platform ticket at Secunderabad Railway Station will be enhanced from present Rs. 10 to Rs. 20 for a period of seven days — from January 10 to 16. – NSS
