S.S. Rajamouli Receives Law Suit
Hyderabad; Flick Magadheera is surrounded by controversies even after the movie completed 8 years of exhibition. A few days ago, makers of Magadheera approached Hyderabad court filing a case against Rabta producers for violation of copy right. They withdrew the case after they found that it was was not a copy cat of their flick.
Now it is the turn of an author to file the same kind of case against Magadheera makers making Director Rajamouli a party.
SP Chari, renowned author, said that the film is a direct lift from his novel ‘Chanderi’ which is related with Hardoul and Indumathi who lived in Madhya Pradesh.
According to the novel, the hero and heroine faced opposition from Hardoul’s brother and the lovers committed suicide. Then they were reborn in Andhra Pradesh region after 400 years.
As per author, now the same script was used by Rajamouli just by changing names of the characters and few changes to villain role.
He filed a case at Hyderabad Civil Court and warned the makers that credit should be given to him or else law would take its own course to render justice.
This is a new problem for both Rajamouli and Allu Aravind who are happy with the result of Magadheera at BO which was released in 2009.
The film won many awards in the state and collected huge collections at BO giving maximum profits to the producer.
